2012 AUA Foundation Research Scholars
Program
Applications are being accepted for the 2012 AUA Foundation
Research Scholars Program. One-year and two-year scholarships
are available to M.D. and Ph.D. candidates conducting urologic
research under the mentorship of a senior researcher or physician-scientist.
Candidates must be within five years of having completed residency
or doctorate training. The sponsors for the 2012 awards include
the AUA North Central Section, the AUA Western Section, the
AUA South Central Section, the AUA Northeastern Section, the
AUA New York Section, the AUA Mid-Atlantic Section, the AUA
Southeastern Section, Dornier MedTech and the Kidney Cancer
Association. The 2012 awards will also include the inaugural
Joseph Segura Scholarship in Endourology and Stone Management,
made possible through the Endourological Society, the “Friends
of Joe”, and Boston Scientific Corporation. The Segura
award will be the first Research Scholar award available to
international investigators. A letter of intent is requested,
but not required, for all applicants. The deadline for submitting
the LOI is Friday, August 5, 2011. The application
deadline is Thursday, September 8, 2011. Information
